Thuy An said that she had known Ha Chuong since grade 12, when he returned to her school in Tra On (Vinh Long) to become an inspirational speaker. Impressed by the stories about performing in many countries, knowing how to play many musical instruments, she was curious to learn and make friends on social networks. The initial exchanges were simply interacting between artists and fans, until COVID-19 hit in 2021. Thuy An went to Ho Chi Minh City to work at the time of a strong epidemic and suddenly stayed near Ha Chuong's house. When the city was closed, she became the one who brought food, cooked rice and supported him in daily activities. From that sincere care, their feelings gradually blossomed.

Thuy An said that there were times when she received greeting messages every night, and when she didn't see them anymore, she felt lost. One day, Ha Chuong invited her to Gia Dinh Park to "talk a special story", making An believe that he was about to confess his love. But instead of rings or flowers, the male artist... took out his toothbrush and asked her to cut it for him. That "difficulty" made her disappointed.
