At Supachalasai Stadium on the evening of December 11, athlete Ho Trong Manh Hung excellently won the gold medal in the men's 3-step dance event at the 33rd SEA Games with a score of 16m33. This is also the first gold medal of Vietnam's athletics at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games.
Sharing about his achievements, Manh Hung said: After winning the gold medal, I was very touched. At that time, I remember my first family, remember my training days to achieve the results I have today. My first time participating in the SEA Games and being the first person to bring a gold medal to Vietnam Athletics at this tournament, I am very happy.

The statistics at the 33rd SEA Games are my best achievement ever. Before, I reached 16m30, but today I have improved a little to 16m33. However, I still need to improve my mentality, speed and technique. Because I still want to set goals further to reach bigger tournaments".
Similar to his son, athlete Ho Trong Manh Hung's father was also very touched.
Mr. Ho Trong Doanh said: I am very happy and moved to see my childs efforts to win the gold medal. I would like to thank all the teachers who have wholeheartedly taught me to achieve such a good result.
At this time, the emotions were hard to describe, my legs could no longer stand firm, and my legs trembled. I am very touched, the family also feels proud and excited".

Before his father's sharing, Manh Hung moved his father and sent his thanks: "Thank you, father and family. My father is the one who always accompanies me in all tournaments from domestic to international. Thank you for always encouraging and standing behind me to cheer me on.
