In the new episode of the program "A Midday Date", MC Thanh Van introduced Bui Phuoc Quang (40 years old, from Tay Ninh), currently a worker in Ho Chi Minh City, and Luu Thi Thanh Thuy (39 years old), who is running a rice shop in Dong Nai.
Introducing herself, Thanh Thuy said that she is an introverted person, rarely communicates and admits that her biggest weakness is being too gullible. This is what made her a victim of a sophisticated scam.
Sharing with the program, Thanh Thuy recounted that about a year ago, she participated in a connection platform with the desire to learn about and meet a suitable person. Initially, she was instructed to participate in online games and was refunded a small amount of money, so she gradually trusted her.
After that, the operators announced that she had won a prize of 55 million VND, but to receive the prize, she had to transfer the corresponding amount in advance. Believing him, Thanh Thuy continuously recharged money as requested. When she was informed that she was operating incorrectly and had to transfer more money to complete the procedures, she continued to follow and was scammed a total of more than 180 million VND.
Only when I couldn't recharge anymore did I realize I was being scammed," Thanh Thuy choked up and recounted. The story surprised the MC.
After that shock, she became more cautious in love. The 39-year-old woman said she had gone through three relationships but all ended incompletely. The first person was promiscuous, often texting many other women. The second person was addicted to drinking and had violent behavior. Meanwhile, the third person was lazy and lacked ambition, making it impossible for her to continue to be attached.
On the groom's side, Phuoc Quang also carries personal wounds. He once had a 13-year marriage and a 16-year-old daughter. However, married life broke down when he discovered that his wife had someone else.
Although they have been separated since 2021, it was not until recently that the two completed legal procedures related to the divorce.
After the upheaval, Phuoc Quang hopes to find an honest woman who knows how to care for her family and can accompany him for a long time. He creates sympathy when sharing that he works hard, in addition to his main job, he also takes advantage of driving a technology car to increase his income.
In private conversations, the two quickly found many common points. They are both introverted, do not like hypocrisy and value hard work in life. Thanh Thuy was particularly impressed to learn that Phuoc Quang is a person who knows how to cook and is willing to share housework with his partner.
When given the opportunity by the program to express their emotions through the 10-second hug challenge, both seemed quite shy but still completed it. After the challenge, Phuoc Quang admitted to being moved by the other person, while Thanh Thuy commented that the groom's family was warm and created a feeling of trustworthiness.
At the end of the program, the couple together pressed the dating button, officially giving each other the opportunity to get to know each other after past breakups.
