Mai Chi Cuong, 38 years old, from Binh Phuoc (now Dong Nai) impressed with his quite special career journey. After many years of working abroad in Japan, he returned to Vietnam and started a business in raising ocean oysters. Not only seeing this as a livelihood, Mr. Cuong also considers this job a foundation for building a long-term future. He frankly shared his desire to settle down soon and be ready to get married when he meets a suitable person.
However, behind that gentle appearance and calmness is an unsolved sad love story. Mr. Cuong said that his most recent relationship ended three years ago, not because of a normal breakup but because his lover believed in friends and went abroad to work and then completely lost contact. Up to now, his family and himself still cannot connect with her. The story calms down the studio because of worry and heartache about social risks, especially cases of disappearance when going to work abroad.
Contrary to Mr. Cuong's turbulent past, Ms. Dinh Thi Nhan (35 years old, currently living and working in Ho Chi Minh City) has never experienced an official relationship. Ms. Nhan is a nurse, working in the field of cancer and stroke screening, requiring caution and high responsibility. She considers herself a cheerful and sociable person, regularly participating in charity activities such as planting trees, building roads, and supporting children in remote areas. However, Ms. Nhan also frankly admitted one weakness is forgetfulness, to the point that friends jokingly call her "golden fish brain".
An interesting difference between the two is their diet. While Mr. Cuong is attached to oyster farming and can process many Japanese-style seafood dishes, Ms. Nhan has been vegetarian for nearly 10 years due to health reasons and limited killing. However, both show respect for each other's choices, showing openness and understanding right from the first meeting.
In a deeper conversation, Mr. Cuong confided that he is a gullible person, who has lent money to friends many times but has not received it back. However, he still believes that kindness will be rewarded in some way. Ms. Nhan, with the perspective of a person working in the medical industry, believes that everyone needs to take responsibility for their decisions, and the advice should only stop at the level of orientation.
The climax of the program came when both entered the decisive part. After sincere sharing and positive initial impressions, both Mr. Cuong and Ms. Nhan chose the heart button, giving each other the opportunity to learn about each other for a long time. That nod of agreement not only closed a complete date but also opened up hope for a sustainable relationship, starting from empathy and goodness.
