Appearing in the program "You Want to Date", Mr. Nguyen Van Tan (born in 1992, electric vehicle store salesman in Dak Lak) created a good impression when stepping onto the stage with a loving voice dedicated to the girl on the other side. The guy said that he used to study vocals, and now besides business, he is still passionate about singing, so the opening performance received many rounds of applause from the studio audience.
Facing him is Ms. Cao Thi Huyen (born in 1993), a lecturer, living and working in Buon Ma Thuot. She surprised everyone when revealing that for 32 years she had never had a relationship. Explaining this, Ms. Huyen said that in her youth she focused on studying, and then when she went to work, she did not pay too much attention to love affairs. "Someone liked me, I also knew, but at that time I didn't pay much attention," she shared. When she turned 30, her mother started to get impatient, often matchmaking, so she actively registered to participate in the program to find opportunities.
Personally, Ms. Huyen admits that she is a lively, confident person, likes to socialize and often brings comfort to everyone around her. However, she is quite emotional, and can shed tears when watching videos about animals or young children. In love, she wants a mature man with a stable job, who knows how to care for his family and behave harmoniously between both sides. What she doesn't like is being patriarchal or "saying but not doing".
Meanwhile, Mr. Tan said that he is gentle, progressive, communicates well but is sometimes a bit forgetful. He frankly shared his past of being married to an accounting colleague in the period 2016–2017 but the marriage soon broke down. The two have a daughter, currently nearly 9 years old. The baby is living alternately between both sides of the family and is expected to go abroad next year to live with her mother. Currently, Mr. Tan lives with his parents, focuses on working and wants to find a new life partner.
Hearing the groom's family's story, Ms. Huyen expressed her confusion. She frankly admitted that she was quite afraid of separate children - common children because she had never experienced love, and heard many complicated stories from friends, so she was somewhat hesitant. However, she still maintained an open attitude, continuing to chat to learn more.
In the direct exchange, Mr. Tan affirmed that if he loves, he will love his partner and family unconditionally, only hoping for fidelity. Ms. Huyen replied that words are easy, the important thing is action later. She imagined a happy family as a place where husband and wife share childcare, shoulder responsibilities together, to always have laughter in the house.
The two also shared about personal hobbies. Ms. Huyen likes to read books, listen to music, go out in a relaxed way and does not like to watch long-running movies because she is afraid of wasting time. Mr. Tan said that his job is quite flexible, and he is willing to arrange time to date on weekends if both have the opportunity to get to know each other.
At the decisive moment, Mr. Tan actively pressed the button with the desire to give each other a chance. However, Ms. Huyen did not press it. The MC assessed that the difference in emotional experience - one person has never been in love, one person has a family and a riêng child - makes the gap of views between them quite large. Although they could not become a couple, the two still shook hands, wishing each other to find the right person soon.
