The comic series published by Kim Dong Publishing House will help children develop skills to avoid danger and develop safe, healthy living habits.

Children of primary school age are often very active and do not know how to protect themselves from potential dangers in daily life such as: when participating in traffic, playing, traveling, eating, etc.

Children also have difficulty remembering safety rules, or do not know how to apply them to their daily lives.

Therefore, the series of 4 color comics by Vietnamese authors hopes to convey in an easy-to-understand and familiar way basic knowledge about safety in daily life at home, at school, in class, at playgrounds, in public places in general... for young readers.

With thematic groups including “Safe Play”, “Safe Eating”, “Safe Traffic” and “Healthy Body”, the book series presents more than 60 common situations in the real life of Vietnamese children, with the context of crowded and complicated traffic, polluted environment, worrying infectious disease issues, children lacking space to play…

Knowledge and methods for safe and healthy living are cleverly integrated into an attractive and fun comic format, helping children form reflexes to recognize danger, learn how to protect themselves, and develop necessary safety habits such as: From how to behave when approached by strangers, notes when using sharp objects, handling battery waste to fire prevention, drowning prevention, electric shock accidents, heatstroke or food poisoning...

The group of authors Hoai Thu, Hieu Minh and artist Nguyen Quang Toan have many years of experience in developing book series for children, especially the two authors Hoai Thu and Nguyen Quang Toan are the ones who implemented the project "continuing the comic book Ty Quay" by the late artist Dao Hai.

From there, they understand the reading trends and interests of young children, they have spent a lot of time researching, exploring, consulting and creating the series "Life skills comics - For primary school children".

“With the desire for children to have the necessary safety knowledge anytime, anywhere in their daily life and study, to build safe living habits and skills, we think that choosing the form of fun comics that integrate scientific knowledge about life to convey the message is one of the ways that can bring the fastest results.

This book format helps bring safety lessons to children in a natural, gentle, yet authentic and engaging way" - author Hieu Minh shared.

With its own unique direction, the book series "Comic life skills - For primary school children" is truly a precious spiritual gift, not only bringing laughter to young readers, but also having high educational value, helping children gain more useful life skills, learn how to protect themselves in emergency situations, even when their parents are not around.
