Sin Chew Daily reported that Nurul Syazwani is a Malaysian woman who got married in 2016. After 2 years of living away from home, her husband had a car accident that left him unable to work and bedridden for 6 years.
During her husband's recovery, Syazwani became his primary caregiver. She fed him through a nasogastric tube, changed his diapers, and helped him bathe.
In 2019, she began sharing her experiences caring for bedridden people on social media, which helped her gain attention with more than 32,000 followers on Facebook.
"At that time, I was very scared every time he coughed. I did rehabilitation exercises for him every day. My family also came to support me every day so I could have time to rest," Syazwani recalled. The couple also have a son together.
However, in a recent Facebook post, Syazwani unexpectedly shared a wedding photo of the man who was her husband, with another bride.
She congratulated her ex-husband on his new marriage: “Congratulations to my “husband”. I hope you will be happy with the person you have chosen. Aifa Aizam, please take good care of him like I did. I finished with him, now it's your turn".
The post quickly attracted attention and controversy, forcing Syazwani to delete it shortly after. She continued to post, announcing that the two had divorced on October 6. At the same time, Syazwani said that the two would co-parent their child, calling on people not to criticize the newlyweds because "Everything happens for a reason."
Syazwani’s ex-husband reportedly married his new wife just a week after their divorce. Although she has since forgiven her ex-husband, netizens have reacted strongly to the incident, accusing her husband of being ungrateful.
One netizen commented: "I don't believe he has fulfilled his duty as a husband. How can a person be so ungrateful, as if he has no heart?"...
Meanwhile, many people comforted and praised Syazwani for her noble dignity: "A good woman like you does not deserve a man like him. You will find someone who truly appreciates you", "Faced with challenges when he was sick, but you still persevered. Believe that a brighter future awaits you, do not look back"...
