Meanwhile, Ms. Ngoc works in the field of social work supporting people with disabilities, and coincidentally met Mr. Phi Long during a trip to Phan Thiet.
At first, the two only had simple interactions. Ms. Ngoc said that at that time, she admired him because at such a young age, he had done such a meaningful good deed.
Mr. Long said that he had a good impression of his wife from the first time he met her, feeling that Ms. Ngoc was a wonderful person because her work helped many other disabled friends. After that, he also went to "ask" for her phone number and started texting to get to know her.
One time when Ngoc had chicken pox, Long traveled far to visit her and from then on expressed his desire to get to know her and get to know her. At first, they only texted each other. Gradually, Long began to teach Ngoc some basic language to communicate.
Ms. Ngoc shared that, at first, accepting to love and marry a man like Phi Long was not easy, especially when her family was worried about the future. However, Ms. Ngoc's determination and Phi Long's sincerity gradually convinced his wife's family.
The couple, who have been married since 2016, have two children, a 6-year-old and a 4-month-old. Despite the challenges of communicating due to differences in hearing and speech, they have always tried to understand and sympathize with each other. The baby has also looked at his parents and learned to communicate with his father using hand signals since he was 3 years old.
When asked about the difficulties in family life, Ms. Ngoc shared that sometimes she felt sorry for herself because she had to shoulder many responsibilities. The couple also had times when they argued, especially in the early stages of their marriage. However, now the couple is more harmonious and understanding of each other.
When going to school, the couple's child also received questions from friends around him, "Why can't your dad talk?" Ms. Ngoc said that the child is very proud of his father and always "brags" to his friends that even though his father can't talk, he is very good and knows how to do many things.
Ms. Ngoc is currently working at the same company as her husband and focusing on taking care of the family. However, both of them still maintain volunteer activities, helping people in difficult circumstances.
