Facial yoga is being sought after by many people as a non-invasive beauty method, combined with facial exercises to improve skin firmness and elasticity. However, current studies show that evidence of the anti-aging effects of this method is still limited.
Faced surgery can increase muscle strength and improve facial blood circulation, but results are often subtle and take time to notice, says Dr Murad Alam, a dermatologist at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
practical effectiveness and research limitations
A 20-week study on 16 middle-aged women showed that those who practiced face yoga for 30 minutes a day for 8 weeks, then between days and the 20th week, had an improvement in completeness in the cheeks and face border. However, the small scale and limited research design make it difficult to confirm the results.
Some synthetic assessments recorded mixed results: facial exercises can help tone the skin, but there is also a risk of deeper wrinkles if practiced incorrectly.
Operating mechanism
As we age, the fat layer under the skin thickens, the skin loses elasticity and facial muscles weaken. Yoga for the face aims to:
Strengthen facial muscles: Helps support the skin better, limiting sagging.
Maintain the location of buckwheat fat: Reduces the phenomenon of facial fat loss with age.
Increased blood circulation: Bring oxygen and nutrients to the skin, stimulate cell regeneration.
Reduces Stress: Relaxation movements help reduce signs of fatigue on the face.

doctor Alam emphasizes that face care is safer for most people, but it should be considered a supportive method, not a replacement for medical therapy or intensive skin care, says Dr. Alam.
Yoga is an interesting choice for those who want to improve their natural appearance without aggressive intervention. Although the anti-aging effects have not been strongly proven, this method can bring benefits of muscle tone and relaxation if done properly and regularly.
