Conditions for practicing social work
On September 17, 2024, the Government issued Decree 110/2024/ND-CP on Social Work, which includes regulations on conditions for practicing social work.
Accordingly, Vietnamese citizens permanently residing in Vietnam, foreigners, and Vietnamese people residing abroad who comply with the Constitution and laws of Vietnam, have good moral qualities, and meet the following conditions are eligible to practice social work:
- Graduated from secondary school, college, university, or postgraduate level majoring in social work, sociology, psychology, special education, or other social science majors as prescribed by law.
- Ensure health to practice social work.
- Not falling under the cases specified in Article 32 of Decree 110/2024/ND-CP and other cases as prescribed by law on handling administrative violations.
- Have a valid certificate of registration to practice social work issued by a competent state agency.
Instructions for numbering houses in alleys and lanes
This is the content mentioned in Circular 08/2024/TT-BXD dated August 30, 2024 regulating the numbering and mounting of house and construction number plates issued by the Minister of Construction.
House numbering in alleys and lanes from October 15 will be implemented as follows:
House numbering in the alley:
- In case the alley does not have its own name: the alley name is named after the house number on the street or road located right in front of the alley entrance (with a smaller house number);
- The numbering principles are applied similarly to the provisions in Clause 1, Clause 3, Clause 4 and Clause 5, Article 6 of Circular 08/2024/TT-BXD;
- Direction of house numbering in the alley: In case the alley connects two roads or streets and has been named, the direction is taken from the house at the beginning of the alley closest to the road or street whose name the alley bears to the end of the alley.
In case the alley connects two roads or streets and has not been named, the house numbers will be from the house at the beginning of the alley closest to the road or street with the larger cross-section to the end of the alley.
In case the alley has only one end leading to the street, the house numbering direction is from the house at the beginning of the alley closest to the street to the house at the end of the alley.
House numbering in the alley:
- In case the alley does not have its own name: The alley name is named after the house number on the alley front located right before the alley entrance (with a smaller house number);
- The numbering principles are applied similarly to the provisions in Clause 1, Clause 3, Clause 4 and Clause 5, Article 6 of Circular 08/2024/TT-BXD;
- Direction of house numbering in alley: In case the alley connects two lanes and has been named, the direction is from the house at the beginning of the alley, closest to the lane whose name the alley bears, to the end of the alley; in case the alley connects two roads and has not been named, the direction of house numbering is from the house at the beginning of the alley, closest to the road with the larger cross-section, to the end of the alley.
In case the alley has only one end leading to the alley, the house numbering direction is from the house at the beginning of the alley closest to the alley to the house at the end of the alley.
In case of houses in alleys or lanes with special characteristics, the People's Committee at the district level decides on numbering.
In addition, Circular 09/2024/TT-BXD dated August 30, 2024 amending and supplementing a number of construction norms issued in Circular 12/2021/TT-BXD; Circular 09/2024/TT-BLDTBXH guiding the norms for the number of employees in public service units in the labor, meritorious people and social sectors and fields also takes effect from October 15.
