Da Nang announces 590 social insurance and health insurance collection points
For many years, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, residing in Ban Thach ward, Da Nang city, has regularly paid household health insurance for herself and her elderly mother. The payment is mainly through a collection point near her house. Every time the deadline comes, she takes the book and papers to her familiar collection point, pays and waits for staff guidance.
People like us just want to pay to the right place, to the right person, so that when we are sick, we can still enjoy benefits. But not everyone knows which employees are official, which collection points are operating legally," Ms. Hanh shared.

From that practical need, Da Nang City Social Insurance announced a tool to look up information about organizations supporting the development of social insurance and health insurance participants, collection points and collection staff. This tool helps people proactively check information before contacting, registering to participate or paying money.
According to Da Nang City Social Insurance, as of the end of April 2026, the City Social Insurance and Social Insurance agencies have signed authorized contracts to collect social insurance and health insurance with 17 organizations supporting the development of social insurance and health insurance participants. The whole city currently has 590 collection points and 819 collection staff operating in localities, residential areas, and residential groups.
For many freelancers, small traders, elderly people or people in areas far from the center, collection staff are the closest focal points to access social security policies.

However, as the number of collection points and collection staff is increasing, the requirement for information transparency is also becoming more urgent. With online lookup tools, these questions can be answered faster. People can access through the Electronic Information Portal or Facebook Fanpage of Da Nang City Social Insurance, choose the lookup link recorded at the top of the page to search for information about collection organizations, collection points, and collection staff suitable for their residence or workplace.
For Ms. Hanh, this change helps her feel more secure. "Previously, when I heard someone introduce me, I went to film there. Now there is a public list, I can ask my child to check it in advance on the phone. Knowing the collection point and the official collection staff, I am less worried," she said.
Publicizing social insurance and health insurance collection points to reduce risks for people
Not only creating convenience for people, the lookup tool is also of great significance in management work. Publicizing the list of organizations supporting the development of beneficiaries, collection points and collection staff helps increase transparency in the process of collecting and managing social insurance and health insurance contributions; and at the same time limit the situation of impersonating collection staff or collecting incorrectly according to regulations.
Mr. Van Phu Long, Head of the Propaganda and Support Department for Social Insurance Participants of Da Nang City, said that the lookup tool helps people proactively search for and select collection points or suitable collection staff; saving time and improving convenience in the process of participating in social insurance and health insurance. Information disclosure also helps people identify trained collection staff who have been certified and signed legal contracts with social insurance agencies.
According to Mr. Long, this is also a solution to enhance transparency in the collection and management of contributions, limiting the situation of impersonating collection staff or collecting in violation of regulations. When people know clearly where they are paying, the person receiving the dossier and the amount of contribution has a clear legal basis, and their trust in the social security policy will be strengthened.

In the context of Da Nang promoting digital transformation in many fields, publicizing collection points data, social insurance and health insurance collection staff is not just an additional administrative utility. More importantly, this is a way to bring social security policies closer to people with clarity, ease of verification and convenience.
For people like Ms. Hanh, technology is not something too far-fetched. It starts from knowing for sure where you pay the money correctly, the money collector is legal, and your rights are fully recognized by the system. When each social security contribution is transparent from input to destination, the goals of universal social insurance and universal health insurance will have a solid foundation to go into life.
