In promotional events before the film's premiere, Ly Hai revealed that the TikToker cast will participate. His choice is understandable because the film's theme revolves around a group of young people living in the Central region who are passionate about music, dreaming of becoming "idol".
Among them, Tin Nguyen is the face that appeared in "Flip Side 7". She plays Tu Tham - a formidable, stone-throwing wife in the coastal area but loves her family.
Tin Nguyen has 5.2 million followers on TikToker, often posting videos with dance, entertainment, and skits. She said she has loved acting for a long time but has not had the opportunity to try her hand at a movie, until Ly Hai's film casting and her choice.
Another famous TikToker will also appear in the film, Le Tuan Khang. He shared: "I saw that I had no ability to act. I filmed the clip in my hometown, not learning acting, but cinema was at an advanced level. The chance of being cast is probably 0%".
After Le Tuan Khang was cast, director Ly Hai said he accepted Tuan Khang into the film because he was suitable for the role, not caring whether that face had been famous before or not.
Le Tuan Khang was born in 2002, famous for his videos sharing about the close and peaceful rural life. In mid-February, Le Tuan Khang also appeared in Duc Phuc's MV.
Another face that also aroused curiosity when passing the casting round was Bao Ngoc. Bao Ngoc was born in 2008, participated in Do Re Mi, won the runner-up prize of Familiar Face for Children in 2015, and participated in acting in the famous sitcom "Gia dinh la ngan" in Vietnam.
Thanks to her outstanding beauty, she is often called "child beauty queen" by the audience. She has a YouTube channel with 1.4 million followers and TikToker with 3.8 million followers.
In addition, 2 other famous TikTokers, Doan The Vinh (974 thousand followers) and Ho Dong Quan (408 thousand followers) will also appear in Ly Hai's new film.
Although the role of this TikToker team is not yet clear, the audience predicts that the director will exploit the dancing and performing skills of the young stars.
Part 8 of "Flip Side" is set mainly in Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan - where there is a lot of wind, sand and sunshine. Of which, there are 3 large scenes that the male director is passionate about, including the floodwaters, holding a large concert that needs an audience of more than 1,000 people and the war scene filmed in the Coconut - Binh Thuan forest.
