Recently, Ahn Bo Hyun appeared as a guest on SBS's "My Little Old Boy".
Here, the actor shared that his grandmother was the reason why he tried to appear regularly in dramas broadcast on Korean TV stations, in contrast to works exclusively broadcast on online services (OTT).
If I had participated in an OTT drama and didnt appear on TV for a year, my grandmother would think I was going to die from hunger. She was worried and sent me food," the actor explained.
Ahn Bo Hyun continued to reveal that his grandmother often believes that what she sees on TV is real: Once she called me while watching a scene of me having a car accident. She thought the drama was a live broadcast. And when I played a villain in Itaewon Class, there was a scene where my father beat me. That really seems to be hurting her heart.
The actor later mentioned the hit TV series Yumi's Cells, in which he and Kim Go Eun play a couple. Ahn Bo Hyun said, My wife has never seen that side of me before. After watching my affectionate scenes with Kim Go Eun for the first time, she shyly told me, "That girl looked very kind." So I realized, maybe she thought the love story was real.
Ahn Bo Hyun's grandmother even suggested that he take Kim Go Eun back to his hometown of Busan to be able to meet the actress.
Last August, Ahn Bo Hyun and singer Jisoo (Blackpink) publicly dated. But their relationship only lasted nearly 3 months. At the end of October 2023, the two announced their breakup.
After going their separate ways, both of them actively focused on acting. Currently, Ahn Bo Hyun is appearing as the lead in the SBS drama Flex x Cop, along with Park Ji Hyun.
Jisoo is filming for the film project Omniscient Readers Viewpoint and the cosmology drama Influenza.
