According to Star Today, at the annual shareholders' meeting of HYBE Group held in Mapo-gu, Seoul recently, CEO Lee Jae Sang said: "BTS members will complete their military service in the last month of the first half of this year (June). They will need time to prepare before continuing operations".
He added, The company is also preparing by discussing with top composers, but the artists themselves need time to think carefully and have their own preparation.
HYBE's CEO explained that, normally, the comeback process of an artist or group includes the steps of composing a song, releasing an album and then going on a tour.
However, BTS is a group with global influence, so the company needs to continue discussing the vision and orientation for the group's next phase. CEO Lee Jae Sang emphasized: "It is necessary to consider and adjust in this direction carefully".
All BTS members will complete their military service in June this year. RM and V, who enlisted as active duty soldiers, will be discharged together on June 10, followed by Jimin and Jungkook on June 11.
Suga, who is serving as a social service worker, will fulfill his duties on June 22.
Previously, Jin and J-Hope were the first two members of BTS to be discharged from the military last year. After returning, both members have had exciting solo activities.
J-Hope released a new digital single Sweet Dreams in March. In July, he will perform at the Lollapalooza Berlin music festival 2025.
Meanwhile, on April 8, Jin will appear on Netflix's variety show "Kian's Bizarre B&B".
CEO Lee Jae Sang's sharing has many fans worried that BTS's comeback schedule may be postponed to next year.
However, there are also opinions that this is an important comeback, so it is reasonable for BTS to spend a lot of time preparing everything carefully and they are willing to wait to witness an explosive comeback.
