Jungkook, G-Dragon, Jisoo, Jennie, Cha Eun Woo, YoonA and many other artists simultaneously supported relief and forest fire relief activities in Korea.

According to Chosun, on March 28, the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced that BTS singer Jungkook contributed 1 billion won (about 17.4 billion VND) to support forest fire recovery efforts in the Ulsan, Gyeongbuk and Gyeongnam areas.

500 million won will be used to provide emergency care and relief to people who lost their homes to forest fires. The remaining 500 million won will be used to raise awareness and working conditions for firefighters on fire.

Jungkook shared: "I hope this can help all those in trouble and hardship. Hopefully everyone will soon return to normal life".

Hope Bridge Secretary General, Shin Hoon, expressed his gratitude to Jungkook: "We are very grateful for your valuable sharing with our neighbors. Hope Bridge will also make every effort in on-site support activities so that this sincerity can bring great comfort to the victims"

This is the largest amount of money raised by celebrities since the Korean forest fires began earlier this week.

Previously, the 13-member boy band Seventeen was the group that the celebrity donated the most, also with 1 billion won.

The 1 billion won that Jungkook and Seventeen donated is equivalent to the amount of forest fire relief from large corporations such as Hanwha Group, Lotte Group and Naver.

In addition to Jungkook, other members of BTS also donated hundreds of millions of won. J-Hope, Suga and RM each donated 100 million won (about 1.7 billion VND) to the Disaster Relief Association and the Korean Red Cross Society.

Meanwhile, Jungkook has donated to charity many times, helping people in difficult circumstances. In 2023, the male singer contributed 1 billion won to Seoul National Children's Hospital to support medical treatment for children from low-income families and initiatives for the hospital's integrated care center.

Also on March 28, along with Jungkook, many famous artists in Korea donated large sums of money to charity activities.

Singer G-Dragon (Big Bang) has donated 300 million won (about 5.2 billion VND) from the revenue of the "Ubermensch" concert held at Goyang Stadium on March 29-30, to support the recovery of areas affected by forest fires and those that had to be relocated.

G-Dragon's intention was to "contributed to the fans" because the concert was held with their support.

The singer shared through management company Galaxy Corporation: "I hope the healing hand will come to all those who lost their homes to this sudden disaster and I really hope they will recover soon."

He also expressed his deep gratitude to all firefighters and those who are working hard to restore damaged areas.

Jisoo (Blackpink) and boy band RIIZE donated 150 million won (about 2.6 billion VND). Artists Jennie (Blackpink), YoonA (SNSD), Cha Eun Woo ( Astro) and Doyoung (NCT) also donated 100 million won.
