"Blood sweat & Tears" is the group's 8th music video to reach this milestone, after "DNA", "Boy With Luv", "Dynamite", "MIC drop (Steve Aoki Remix)", "Fake Love", "IDOL" and "Butter".
BTS has now become the first group in YouTube history to have 8 to 8 MVs surpass 1 billion views.
BTS originally released a music video for "Blood sweat & Tears" on October 10, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. KST, which means it took about 8 years, 5 months and 20 days to reach the 1 billion view mark.
BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band formed by Big Hit Entertainment in 2010 and began managing them in 2013.
The group consists of 7 members: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook, who are all involved in co-writing and producing most of their music products.
