Recently, Apple Music - one of the world's largest music streaming services - announced the "10 years Apple Music playlist: Best songs", to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
BTS' 2020 global hit single "Dynamite" appeared at number 34 - the highest achievement among Kpop songs. "Dynamite" is also the only K-pop song to make the Top 100.
The second highest-charting K-pop song is also a BTS single - "Butter" released in 2021, reaching No. 252.
Both of these songs achieved global success at the time of release, entering the Top 5 of Apple Music's global (daily) chart.
Another Korean song on the list is Baby Shark, which ranked 351. Pinkfong's famous children's song has been loved by children around the world with the repeated lyrics "Baby Shark, doo doo doo doo doo".
Rose (Blackpink)'s song "APT." featuring Bruno Mars has just been released for less than 9 months (since October 2024), but has entered the Top 500 streams of Apple Music, at No. 459.
Previously, APT. created a fever when it took the No. 1 spot on the Apple Music global chart for more than 60 consecutive days, something no other K-pop song had achieved.
Meanwhile, the most streamed song of the past decade on Apple Music is Ed Sheeran's "Shape Of You", followed by The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" at No. 2, and Drake's " God's Plan" at No. 3.
Drake is the artist with the most songs on this list with 27 songs, followed by Taylor Swift with 14 songs and Ed Sheeran with 11 songs.
BTS is currently preparing to make a comeback with a full lineup, after all 7 members of the group have completed their military service.
In a recent livestream, BTS revealed that they will release a new studio album in the spring of 2026 and plan to organize a world tour to meet global fans again.
