Recently, Forbes Magazine attracted attention when it published an article with the title: "Why Not Selena Gomez as a Billionaire?".
In the post, Forbes talked about the financial situation of Wondermind Company founded by an American singer and actress, as well as the real estate of Selena that is said to exceed 1 billion USD in a previous financial analysis.
In 2024, Bloomberg announced that Selena Gomez became a billionaire with an estimated net worth of 1.3 billion USD. But according to the latest report from Forbes, her assets are only at $700 million.
However, this figure still helps the former Disney star appear in the list of richest self-made businesswomen in the US and is one of the richest celebrities.
Forbes analyzed that Selena's majority of assets come from 51% of her stake in Rare Beauty, a beauty agency she founded in 2019. This cosmetic company once caused a fever with the popularity of liquid cheek powder. Rare Beauty reported a revenue of $367 million in 2023.
Forbes magazine valued Selena's cosmetics company at around $1.3 billion, based on feedback from analysts in the beauty industry. But experts also note that the company's valuation has declined in recent months.
In addition to Rare Beauty, Selena Gomez earned about $90 million in interest over the years from TV shows, music, brand advertising contracts and tours.
Of which, $30 million Selena received from the 2017 partnership with Puma. Her estimated revenue of $24 million comes from the Emmy Award-winning comedy series "Only Murders in the Building," in which she is the executive producer and starred.
Selena also had an outstanding role in the Oscar- nominated film "Emilia Perez". This role also helped her be nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion picture. And she is the executive producer of the Netflix hit series "13 Reasons Why".
The 32-year-old singer's real estate also attracted attention. In 2020, Selena spent nearly $5 million on her house in Encino. Most recently, she bought a $35 million real estate in Beverly Hills, with her fiance and music producer Benny Blanco.

Previously, Forbes reported that Wondermind - a mental health company founded by Selena Gomez with her mother in 2021 - is facing tens of thousands of dollars in debt.
The CEO of Wondermind even told the staff that she had to mortgage her own home to maintain the business of this struggling startup.
It is unclear how much money Selena Gomez has invested her in Wondermind over the years. However, this company has struggled to find a source of funding and encountered a situation of unpaid wages to employees.
According to some employees, Selena has barely participated in the work of Wondermind, due to her busy schedule. She has filmed the 5th part of the "Only Murders in the Building" series in New York and focused on Rare Beauty cosmetics.
Experts predict that this cosmetics company can achieve success beyond Selena's reputation.
Selena Gomez was born in 1992, she started her career at the age of 10 when she was cast as Gianna in the series "Barney and Friends" (2002-2004). Three years later, Selena made a big breakthrough when she took on the lead role of Alex Russo in Disney Channels Wizards of Waverly Place (2007).
Like many other former Disney stars, Selena Gomez has turned to music. She released her first album in 2008 and has released 6 more albums since then.
Her most recent album is a collaboration with boyfriend Benny Blanco, released in March.
