On June 26, an industry source said that actress Shin Si Ah has been chosen as the female lead of the Korean drama Grand Galaxy Hotel. Shin Si Ah's Management SOOP management company has also confirmed the information.
Initially, this role was assigned to actress Go Min Si. However, after an anonymous netizen accused the actress of school bullying in May this year, Go Min Si's role in the drama was eventually canceled.
Sources also said that the filming schedule for Grand Galaxy Hotel has been postponed for 3 months due to the main actress being replaced.
Grand Galaxy Hotel is the latest project written by the famous screenwriter duo Hong Jung Eun - Hong Mi Ran (also known as Hong Sisters), and directed by Oh Choong Hwan.
The film is known as a sequel to tvN's hit TV series "Hotel Del Luna," which tells the story of a ghost hotel where the owner has gone missing. A new owner named Eun Ha (played by Lee Do Hyun) takes over, causing trouble for the young hotel owner Sang Soon (played by Shin Si Ah).
Lee Do Hyun's management company YUEHUA Entertainment Korea has confirmed his return to the screen after completing his military service with the movie "Grand Galaxy Hotel".
Shin Si Ah recently attracted attention with the role of Pyo Nam Kyung in tvN's drama "Resident Playbook".
