Netflix on September 1 confirmed that Ha Young will not participate in the next part of the series "Trauma Treatment Center". The platform said it respects the actress's decision amid recent controversies.

Accordingly, Ha Young is involved in controversy related to her great-grandfather's close Japanese past. The withdrawal from the project took place before the new season started filming, helping the crew to proactively adjust the cast without having to handle completed scenes.
Meanwhile, SBS's "There Is a Chance" faced a more difficult problem. Ha Young starred with Lee Je Hoon, while the film had completed most of the scenes before the controversy broke out.
Ha Young plays an important role in the story, replacing Ha Young at this stage may require many scenes to be re-recorded.
That means the crew has to face additional costs, extend production time and affect the schedule of Lee Je Hoon and other actors. Meanwhile, cutting Ha Young's appearance may also affect the content flow.
If the filmed scenes are kept the same, "There Is a Chance" is likely to face mixed reactions when broadcast. Pressure may appear right from the promotional stage, when Ha Young is expected to appear in posters, trailers and media activities with Lee Je Hoon.
Previously, controversy also affected the promotional activities of "Our Sticky Love", the movie Ha Young starred in with Jung Hae In. Some promotional schedules, including an interview scheduled for August 14 with the two actors, were not held. Jung Hae In then continued to carry out some promotional activities for the movie alone.

The controversy began after Ha Young appeared on the program "Problem Children in the Rooftop Room" of KBS 2TV and shared about her family with a tradition of practicing medicine for 4 generations. She once introduced her great-grandfather Ahn Sang Ho as a doctor who studied abroad in Japan, opened a Western-style medical facility in Hanyang (Korea) and treated King Gojong.
After that, some information about Mr. Ahn Sang Ho was shared online with many unfavorable information.
Initially, Ha Young's side denied the mentioned content. After learning more about the documents, the actress changed her stance and apologized. Ha Young said that she had not fully learned about her family history before sharing the story, and seriously apologized and looked at the issue as a descendant.
Although she has apologized, controversy continues to affect Ha Young's projects.
