On the morning of October 6, Jisoo (Blackpink) suddenly released a mysterious poster, revealing an upcoming single called Eyes Closed.
In the poster, Jisoo stands in front and behind the ball with the image of a man. This shows that the female singer may collaborate with a male artist in the new song.
A source in the industry later revealed to The Korea Herald that Jisoo's colleague this time is Zayn Malik - a former member of the famous band One Direction.
"Jisoo is planning to release a duet ballad with Zayn this month. Details about this collaboration have not been confirmed yet, but it seems to be related to the reason Jan was recently invited to a concert in New York, the industry insider shared.
In July, Zayn Malik was spotted attending a Blackpink concert in New York (USA) with his daughter.
Right after the concert, he shared a photo on Instagram, taking a moment of holding his daughter in the crowd, both of them raised their arms high, with the caption: "Blackpink, thank you. Khai (daughter's name - PV) and I really like it."
The news of Jisoo collaborating with a famous British singer immediately caused a storm on the internet. Because Blackpink is currently busy with the "Deadline" world tour, starting in Seoul (Korea) from July.
The group recently took a short break after performances in London (UK) on August 15-16, and is expected to continue a tour in Kaohsiung, Taiwan (China) on October 18. Then there are concerts that last until the end of January next year.
