Jisoo is said to have spent 10 million won to remove her brother's name

Kim Jisoo (Blackpink) is said to have cut off relations with her brother since May 2025 after a series of sexual assault charges and the arrest.

According to Korean media, entertainment reporter and YouTuber Lee Jin Ho recently attracted attention when revealing the relationship between female singer Jisoo (Blackpink) and her biological brother Kim Jung Hoon - who is accused of sexually assaulting a female streamer and domestic violence.

According to Lee Jin Ho, Jisoo and her family broke off relations with Kim Jung Hoon from May 2025, when a post appeared on Blind accusing him of improper behavior in his relationships with women.

Lee Jin Ho said that after this incident, Jisoo's family's trust in Kim Jung Hoon completely collapsed, leading to the severance of contact.

At that time, Kim Jung Hoon was said to be supporting Jisoo in business matters. However, after the accusations appeared, he was said to have changed his phone number without prior notice and withdrew from direct contact, only exchanging via voice calls.

Lee Jin Ho commented that this makes it very unlikely that Jisoo knows about her brother's legal issues later.

In addition, there are also suspicions related to Kim Jung Hoon being credited in the movie "Boyfriend on demand" starring Jisoo, broadcast in March.

Lee Jin Ho explained that the filming process took place from October 2024 to May 2025 - before the family broke off relations - and the appearance of his name was based on production records from that time.

Lee Jin Ho also said that when Jisoo discovered her brother's name in the credits on March 6, she immediately requested to remove it. Although this edit was said to have cost more than 10 million won, Jisoo paid for it herself to remove it.

On April 20, Jisoo's management company, BLISSOO, issued an official statement through legal representative Kim & Chang, emphasizing that all allegations related to Kim Jung Hoon are completely unrelated to Jisoo or the company.

The company also clarified that family members only provided limited support in the early stages of establishing the company, without participating in management or making decisions. At the same time, it affirmed that no member of Jisoo's family received remuneration from BLISSOO.

The announcement also said that Jisoo has lived independently since she was a trainee and is not related to or understands private matters of relatives.

Controversy escalated on April 15, when South Korean media reported that a man about 30 years old, identified as a family member of the famous female idol, had been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a female streamer.

After that, news quickly spread that this person was Jisoo's brother, causing the matter to be pushed even higher.

Although the Seoul Public Prosecutor's Office refused the police arrest warrant on the grounds of "insufficient grounds" on April 17, Kim Jung Hoon continued to face other noises.

Jisoo, although not involved in the incident, received much criticism for her relationship with relatives. Faced with that situation, the singer and actress had to cancel her airport fashion photoshoot on her trip to Cannes (France) on April 22.
