On Blackpink's 10th anniversary of debut, Jisoo apologized to fans for the controversies related to the meeting event. The female singer said that the information exchange process had problems and hoped BLINK would understand the hearts of the members.
On August 8, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa appeared together in a livestream on the Weverse platform. This is an opportunity for all four members to interact with fans after a long time without joint activities in Korea.
Before starting the livestream, Jisoo actively mentioned recent controversies. She said that the members clearly understood the meaning of the 10-year milestone and had prepared a small activity because they wanted to meet fans. However, the process of exchanging information arose problems.
Jisoo expressed her desire for the anniversary to take place in a joyful atmosphere but felt the need to apologize to BLINK (Blackpink's fandom). The female singer also hoped that fans would understand the feelings of the four members. After sharing, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa together created a heart shape in front of the camera.
Also on August 8, Blackpink met fans at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan, Seoul. The "Meet & Greet" event was held on the occasion of the group's 10th anniversary of debut, with 40 paid members of the Weverse platform attending.
This event previously became a topic of debate in the BLINK community. YG Entertainment only announced the program on August 6, about two days before the anniversary. The initial announcement also said that only members who can arrange a schedule will attend.
This makes fans worried that all four members will not be able to appear together on the group's special occasion. The announcement close to the date also makes it difficult for a part of the audience to arrange time and travel.
After fans' reactions, YG Entertainment confirmed that Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa will all attend. The members have adjusted their schedules to be able to meet fans together.
This is the first time in more than a year that Blackpink has met fans in Korea with a full squad. Previously, the last time all four members appeared before domestic audiences was at a concert in Goyang (Korea) in July 2025, during the "Deadline" tour.
This is also the second time Jisoo has spoken out about the controversy in a short time. Previously, as soon as it was August 8th, the female singer took action to apologize to fans related to the event.
In addition to meeting activities, Blackpink also implemented many cooperation projects with the National Museum of Korea on the occasion of the 10th anniversary. The group launched the "Blackpink Heritage Collection" with MU:DS, the museum's product brand.
Back in February, Blackpink also implemented the "National Museum X Blackpink" project when returning with the album "Deadline". Activities combine museum visits with enjoying the album.
Blackpink debuted on August 8, 2016 with Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa. After a decade of activity, the group continues to maintain its appeal in the international market. The fact that all four members appeared together and met fans on the 10th anniversary became one of Blackpink's notable activities this year.
