In the TV series "The Tree of Life", Duong Tu plays a young female police officer named Bach Cuc. She is an orphan adopted by a doctor who came to Tibet. When she grew up, she joined a mountain patrol team established by Deputy District Chief of Helgh Khuc - Da Kiet (Ho Ca).
The patrol team's mission is to protect the natural environment in the Thanh Hai plateau, fight against thieves and find a way to build a nature reserve.
Commenting on Duong Tu's role in the film "Cay Sinh Sinh", Xinhua News Agency used the phrase "nearly unrecognizable". This is not only about the change in appearance, but also the feeling that Yang Zi brings in the role of Bai Zhu is completely different, like a different person.
No longer playing sweet, gentle girls or "female men" like in the films "Hamlet and Seafood" and "Scent of Love" (Shoaze of Love), Duong Tu this time plays a real "warrior".
In "Cam Tu Phuong Hoa", Duong Tu's character Ha Duy Phuong is also a strong, tough woman. But with the role of Bach Cuc, stiffness is not only expressed in spirit, but has been showed more physically.
Many interesting scenes of Duong Tu were revealed such as the scene of collecting secret evidence in the nightclub, the counter-attack scene at the hearing, the scene of a truck confrontation in the Gobi desert and many other dangerous and suspenseful situations.
To portray the role of Bach Cuc well, Duong Tu directly went to Thanh Hai Special Police Team to experience life. Here, she learned Japanese, learned professional skills of police such as guarding and chasing criminals.
During filming, Duong Tu also had to go through harsh weather when the temperature dropped to minus 20 degrees Celsius. However, she did not use a stunt double.
The film "Cay Sinh Sinh" started filming in May this year, expected to be produced in 10 months and will be released with a total of 40 episodes.
This is Duong Tu's next work after a series of successful historical films such as "Truong Tuong Tu", "Quoc sac phuong hoa", "Cam tu phuong hoa". Returning to modern films, Duong Tu is expected to transform when playing a character different from previous roles.
"The Tree of Life" is also expected because of the participation of Ho Ca - a famous actor on the Chinese screen. Last year, Ho Ca swept many awards with her leading role in the film "Prosperity" directed by famous director Vuong Gia Ve.
