The global streaming platform Netflix has just officially announced a new action film project called Tygo, and confirmed that the main cast participating in the film includes Ma Dong Seok, Lee Jin Wook and Lisa (member of Blackpink).
Tygo is part of the cinematic universe of Netflixs global blockbuster series Extraction. This action brand stars Chris Hemsworth, and the original film revolves around the task of rescuing the suffocating breath carried out by elite mercenaries.
However, in the new film starring a completely new Korean cast and Kpop star, a completely new lead character will be introduced - Tygo (played byMa Dong Seok), a soldier who is tasked with rescuing hostages in extremely complex campaigns.
The new film will focus on Tygo's mission to rescue Ria - the character Lisa plays. Ria is described as a close teammate of Tygo and also a member of his team. The two have a deep connection because they have gone through a harsh environment together since they were young.
Meanwhile, Lee Jin Wook plays Arman Choi, the villain of the film.
Tygo is directed by Lee Sang Yong - the person behind The Roundup 2, and produced by Big Punch Pictures and AGBO.
This is the second film that Lisa has participated in, after HBOs drama The White Lotus last year.

The Blackpink singer shared his excitement about the project: I am honored to be a part of this project and grateful to have the opportunity to work with such great actors.
Participating in an action film is always my dream, and having my first role in a dramatic action film like this is truly a dream come true.
Lisa has made great strides since founding her own company LLOUD and focused on her personal activities.
Not only releasing her first studio album in her singing career and collaborating with many international music stars, Lisa also systematically oriented her path to becoming an actress.
After receiving quite positive feedback for her first role in "The White Lotus 3", in September this year, LLOUD announced that Lisa had signed a contract with WME (William Morris Endeavor) - a leading talent management company based in Hollywood.
The WME will represent Lisa in her acting activities, as she continues to build her career in the film and television industry.
Last month, it was reported that Lisa was being considered for the role of "cloud-haired princess" Rapunzel in a live- action version of the famous Disney cartoon "Tangled".
The Thai star competed with other actresses such as Sarah Catherine Hook, Aimee Lou Wood, Charlotte Le Bon and Sydney sweeney.
Lisa approached the film industry by appearing at major awards ceremonies such as Oscar, Emmy, Busan International Film Festival...
