On March 1, the documentary "Anh trai say hi: The villain creates a hero" earned more than 7.5 billion VND after 3 days of release, according to Box Office Vietnam.
During the day, the film's revenue was 486 million VND, ranking 3rd at the Vietnamese box office, with more than 200 screenings. With this achievement, the documentary about Say Hi Brother has entered the top 5 highest-grossing concert documentaries in Vietnam.
The remaining positions in the top 5 belong to "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (23 billion VND)". "Tri Am The Movie: The Time keeping Man" (12 billion VND), "Sky Tour the movie" (10 billion VND), "BTS: yet To Come in Cinemas" (9.4 billion VND).
With the current quite slow increase, the film of Say Hi Brother is predicted to have a hard time surpassing BTS, Son Tung M-TP or My Tam to get a higher ranking in the top 5.
The objective reason can be mentioned as the factor of cinemas. "Anh trai say hi: The villain creates a hero" is only shown at CGV theaters in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, unable to reach audiences nationwide. The film also has to "confront" with "House of Ancestors" dominating in terms of screenings and revenue.
The fact that Say Hi Brother has organized 4 shows in 2 regions also partly reduces the curiosity of fans. Not to mention, the Anh trai say hi concert on the 5th day is about to take place on March 21, making many fans prioritize the experience of going to real concerts.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese stars who have had documentaries such as My Tam and Son Tung M-TP all released documentaries after the end of the historic show, which is a milestone in their careers.

In terms of content, the documentary about Say Hi Brother still has many negative points. The audience commented that the film is steadfast in reporting achievements, "responcing" to anti-fans, even considering all criticism as "antity".
The appearance period of the "brothers" has a significant difference. "Hot" faces such as HIEUTHUHAI, Quang Hung MasterD, Duong Domic, RHYDER, Hurrykng and Phap Kieu were present in many Re-shelved performances, with long interviews.
Meanwhile, some singers did not have personal interviews, nor did they have performances incorporated into documentaries.
The series of "brothers" Lou Hoang, Pham Anh Duy, Anh Tu, Anh Tu Atus, Erik, Song Luan, Ali Hoang Duong, Quang Trung, Gin Tuan Kiet, Duc Phuc, Vu Thinh also had a short time, not leaving an impression in the documentary looking back on the journey of Anh trai say hi.
Although the documentary is short, unable to cover the entire journey of 30 people, the development journey from TV show to entertainment brand, the audience still thinks that singers appearing too few is a disadvantage.
Fans also argue about the fact that the characters with many fans appear densely, both in private interviews and the songs they participate in, while some people are almost "in-form".
The producer also took comments criticizing the program for "copying" and "canvas" but did not cover the audience's personal names and photos.
Or the information included in the documentary such as "The Anh trai say hi concert series marks a historic milestone in the field of organizing music events with global influence", "The program has conquered the audience with unthinkable collisions in the minds of 100 million people", "We move forward with our logic"... caused a stir in public opinion, causing controversy about the entire language.
