On the afternoon of March 14, Tiktoker Quang Linh and Hang Duoc, along with representatives of Chi Em rot Group Joint Stock Company (CER Group), held a press conference to explain the controversy related to Kera vegetable candy.
Representative of CER Group Company, Mr. Le Tuan Linh, on behalf of the company, said:
"With all the leniency and apology, we are completely receptive, deeply accepting all comments and criticisms from public opinion. We sincerely apologize to customers and the public for unnecessary errors that have led to false information affecting everyone.
We recognize that these problems come from youth, lack of obstacles, lack of experience, considering them a valuable lesson, a blood and bones in life as well as business activities".
During the press conference, Quang Linh, Hang Duoc and the Company representative, Mr. Le Tuan Linh, bowed their heads to apologize for the above mistake. The company representative promised to review business operations to make things more meticulous and professional, avoiding similar errors to the maximum.
Previously, Quang Linh Vlogs, Hang Du Cac and Miss Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien advertised about "1 candy equivalent to 1 plate of vegetables".
However, a consumer who was skeptical about this product and took it for testing at Quatest2, Technical Center for Quality Measurement 2, under the National Committee for Standards and Quality Measurement, then shared the test results and discovered that 100g of candy contained only 0.51g of fiber. Meanwhile, 100g of water spinach also contains about 1.5g of fiber.
Both Quang Linh, Hang Du Cac and Miss Thuy Tien have posted apology for false advertising, but have not been able to appease criticism from the public.
