MAMA 2024 fooled the audience about Rose (Blackpink) and Bruno Mars?

On the evening of November 22, the 2024 MAMA Korean music awards ceremony held its second day at Kyocera Dome Stadium in Osaka (Japan), after the first day took place at Dolby Theater, Los Angeles (USA) on the same morning (Vietnam time).

According to the announcement of the organizers, the performing artist lineup of MAMA 2024 day 2 includes BoyNextDoor, ENHYPEN, IVE, izna, Lee Young Ji, ME:I, PLAVE, TREASURE, TXT.

Notably, 1 day before the awards ceremony took place, MAMA suddenly announced that the duo Rose (Blackpink) and Bruno Mars were added to the list of performing artists.

This information caused a stir, global fans are expecting the two artists to have their first live performance stage for the hit "APT.".

At around 4pm, Rose and Bruno Mars appeared in the guest seats. The 27-year-old singer wore a black dress with an elegant vest, while the 39-year-old singer looked dapper in a shirt and trousers, combined with a white coat.

At 6pm, MAMA unexpectedly awarded the Global Sensation sub-award to Rose and Bruno Mars, recognizing the global influence of the two artists.

At around 7pm, the most anticipated stage “APT.” officially took place. Rose and Bruno Mars wore matching loose-fitting blazers, delivering a harmonious and vibrant performance.

However, the audience discovered that this was not a live performance like other artists, but a pre-recorded stage, then the video was replayed at the awards ceremony.

This left many people disappointed, accusing the MAMA organizers of "deceiving" the audience and not clearly announcing before the awards ceremony.
