The Korean entertainment industry is stirred up by the news that actress Nana - a former member of After School - was injured in a theft that broke into her private home. The incident is even more worrying as recently, many artists have continuously become victims of illegal housebrokeries.
On November 15, Guri Police Station (Gyeonggi Province, South Korea) announced that it had arrested a man about 30 years old who had broken into the house of actor Nana in Acheon-dong, carrying a weapon to threaten Nana and her mother to rob property.
In a critical situation, Nana and her mother directly fought back. After a fierce fight, the actress and her son controlled the suspect and immediately reported to the police.
Nana's management company - Sublime - confirmed the seriousness of the incident: "While being assaulted by the attackers, Nana's mother was seriously injured and fainted. Nana himself was also injured while trying to escape the dangerous situation. Currently, both need treatment and complete rest.

This is not the first case of an artist's private home being illegally broken into in recent months.
Previously, MC Park Na Rae had her apartment in Yongsan, Seoul stolen, with assets worth tens of millions of won. With no signs of breaking the door, many speculations have arisen that the culprit may be an acquaintance, leading to negative rumors involving artists such as Han Hye Jin and Jang Do Yeon.
However, the police later confirmed that the perpetrator was an outsider. The thief had a criminal record and sold the stolen items as illegal goods. However, Park Na Rae has recovered all the lost items without a single scratch.
In August, Jungkook (BTS) faced a worrying break-in when a woman in her 40s broke into his private home parking lot. Jungkook saw the whole incident through CCTV and immediately reported it to the police.
He recalled during the live broadcast: I watched the developments on CCTV. When she heard the police coming, she tried to open the car park door, but the police were standing right in front of her.
This woman also claimed to be Jungkook's friend, causing the male singer to react strongly: "ARMY (BTS fan community) is in some ways my family and friends, but this is completely different. I have all the evidence. All are recorded. If you want to be arrested by the police, just come here.
Since his military discharge, Jungkook has been harassed many times. Previously, a Chinese woman was arrested while entering the front door code in front of Jungkook's house several times on the day he was discharged from the army in June.
Earlier this week, a female fan was discovered by Jungkook's neighbor to be entering the front door code to break into the singer's house. This person also carried a suitcase as if traveling, when the video was filmed, he quickly covered his face and ran away.

The couple actor Lee Min Jung and Lee Byung Hun also experienced a theft at their private home in Los Angeles (USA). According to TMZ, the thief broke the glass door to break in.
Lee Byung Hun was not at home at the time of the incident. The break-in is believed to be part of a series of thefts targeting rich areas in the area.
As incidents continue to happen, from Korea to the US, artists and fans are worried. The increased wave of home breaks shows the alarming level of safety, privacy, and reckless methods that perpetrators are willing to take to target celebrities.
