Actor Jung Woo Sung will officially return to the screen after a year of absence due to controversy over a child in the animal's rights that shocked the Korean entertainment industry.
He appeared at the press conference for Disney+'s original drama "Made in Korea", held at the Disneyland Hong Kong Hotel (China), along with director Woo Min Ho and co-stars Hyun Bin and Woo Do Hwan.
At the end of last year, Jung Woo Sung caused a stir in public opinion when he was revealed to have an illegitimate child with model Moon Gabi.
Although the actor responded with an oath "to take full responsibility as a father", the scandal still faced fierce criticism from the media.
Because before that, Jung Woo Sung was known as a valuable "single man" in Korean showbiz. Throughout his career, he has only publicly dated the only woman, actress Lee Ji Ah, in 2011, and has since been almost un entangled in love scandals.
After causing controversy over his relationship with model Moon Gabi, in August 2025, Jung Woo Sung registered to marry his long-time girlfriend who is not a celebrity.
But recently, Moon Gabi attracted attention when she publicly announced their son on social media. This caused Jung Woo Sung's scandals to continue to be discussed.

Made in Korea marks Jung Woo Sungs return to TV series after 2 years and is also his first film after recent personal controversies.
Sharing about his decision to join the project, Jung Woo Sung frankly shared: At first, when the director approached me, I felt that this role was not suitable. I think this character needs someone more daring than me.
But after reading the script, I wondered if there was anything I could bring to this role, and I decided to try it.
Meanwhile, Hyun Bin praised the compelling script of Made in Korea, describing it as a strong combination of fiction and historical setting from the 1970s.
Jung Woo Sung also emphasized the unique perspective of the film compared to traditional historical films: "The film explores the aspirations and survival of humans through a fairy tale based on historical events. The way the film depicts extreme loyalty with ambition really makes it different.
Made in Korea has a production budget of about 70 billion won, expected to premiere on December 24 on Disney+.
Set in the turbulent 1970s, the film revolves around Baek Ki Tae (Hyun Bin) - a man possessed by ambition for power and money, and prosecutor Jang Geon Young (Jung Woo Sung) who defies everything to stop Baek Ki Tae. The confrontation between them became the focus of an event that marked a turning point in their time.
The film is also in production for part 2 and is expected to air in 2026.
