In the program "24h Mobile" broadcast on September 4, the audience was surprised to meet the two legendary readers of Vietnam Television. They are Meritorious Artist Kim Tien and Meritorious Artist Thanh Hung.
This is a special activity on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the first television program broadcast in Vietnam (September 7, 1970 - September 7, 2025).
Meritorious Artist Kim Tien and Meritorious Artist Thanh Hung are the faces of the first generation of announcers of national television, associated with the News Agency. After many years, the appearance of two "golden voices" right on VTV brought the audience moments of hoiiness and emotion.
The program recreated a familiar scene: Meritorious Artist Thanh Hung raised his voice warmly, resounding: "Hello everyone and you are watching the News program of Vietnam Television". Continuing, Meritorious Artist Kim Tien introduced: "Today's Weather Program will have the following notable contents". Those familiar sounds make many generations of audiences feel like they are reliving memories from a few decades ago.
When returning to the studio, both artists looked confident and cheerful but could not hide their emotions. Meritorious Artist Kim Tien shared that she was really overwhelmed by modern equipment, far beyond the period in which she worked.
"In the past, every time the station imported a new device, we were very excited, because it was an opportunity for the program to become more professional. But above all, I always believe that each member of the crew must fulfill their role to create a synchronous and reliable news report, she said.
The veteran announcer also confided that, even after retiring, she still maintains the habit of watching Daily News. For her, the program is not only an old profession, but also a place to comprehensively reflect social life in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Meritorious Artist Thanh Hung expressed his emotion when standing in the middle of the new studio. He shared: "I felt as nervous as the first time it was on air. Television today is much more modern, from facilities to the way of organizing the program. The news is complete, meeting the increasingly high needs of the audience".
He also recalled the hardships of the profession: Conducting a live show requires announcers to be absolutely focused, confident and always ready to respond to unexpected situations. This is a job of going early and coming back late, the family must sympathize to accept it". For him, the memory of being attached to television is a lifelong memory.

Meritorious Artist Kim Tien was born in 1948 in Hanoi and has studied dance since childhood. After two failed bids as announcer, in 1973 she joined the dance team of Vietnam Television and then moved on to host the program. She left her mark when singing for the movie Tay du ky (1986) or the familiar saying "The customer has just called...". Throughout the 1980s-1990s, Kim Tien was known as the "golden voice" of Vietnamese television. In 2001, she stopped hosting Thoi gian, a year after retiring but still opened a youth announcer training class.
Meritorious Artist Thanh Hung joined VTV in 1979 and is one of the MCs of the golden generation. He is remembered by the audience for his bright, clear, slow reading voice, and meticulous demeanor on television.
