On April 28, actor Park Ji Hoon had an interview with Sports Chosun to share about the Netflix drama Weak Hero Class 2 in which he plays the main character.
According to Park Ji Hoon, Yeon Si Eun in The Weak Hero is the most suitable role for him to date.
Since I was a kid, I started my career as a child actress, and the only people I could trust were my parents, I didnt have many friends.
Since I spent a lot of time alone as a child, I think researching that aspect could help me understand Si Eun's feelings and express his loneliness.
He looked quite similar to me when I was young. Apart from action scenes, I think Si Eun and I are most similar when it comes to emotional scenes or when we are alone - Park Ji Hoon pointed out the similarities between himself and the character.
The actor born in 1999 continued to share: "I still haven't found the answer to why I didn't have friends when I was young. I think it's because I speak local languages and things like that.
I also thought that as a child actor, I spent more time with my parents than with my classmates when we were filming in the countryside, so I naturally became distant from my friends. It was a painful memory, but I still haven't found the answer."
Before pursuing an acting career, Park Ji Hoon debuted as an idol singer in the Wanna One project band, founded in 2017 through the talent scouting reality show Produce 101.

Following part 1, The Weak Hero 2 follows model student Yeon Si Eun (Park Ji Hoon) when he transferred to Eunjang High School. Here, Si Eun became friends with new friends Park Hu Min (Ryeoun), Seo Jun Tae (Choi Min Yeong) and Go Hyun Tak (Lee Min Jae).
