Binh Duong Provincial Labor Federation said that on the occasion of April 30 and May 1, most enterprises with grassroots trade unions in Binh Duong province will have 2 working days off.
Many workers returned to their hometowns in the Western, Central Highlands and Central provinces for the holiday. Most of the workers with far-off hometowns stay in Binh Duong to rest.
In addition, due to requirements on orders and production plans, 54 businesses are still operating during the holiday. The total number of employees is 12,000 people.
Of which, the Ben Cat Industrial Park Trade Union has 21 enterprises producing during the holiday with 4,500 workers. The unit with the most employees is Motomotion Company Limited with 2,210 employees, followed by Sung Shin Solution Vietnam Company Limited with 812 employees.
In Bac Tan Uyen district, Kolon Company Limited organizes production with 1,954 employees. In Bau Bang district, De Licacy Company organizes production with 1,188 workers.
According to regulations, if including holiday salary, employees working on April 30 and May 1 are paid at least 400% of their day salary and at least 4 90% of their night salary.
Workers will return to the factory in Binh Duong to participate in normal production from May 2.
