The Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department recently inspected and reviewed the list of celebrities and individuals who livestream to sell products on social media platforms. Through the review, among the artists and celebrities who sell products on social media, many have declared and paid taxes. Among them, there is a beauty queen who paid 4.7 billion VND in taxes.
Regarding this information, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Pham Kim Dung - CEO of Sen Vang (the management company of Miss Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien) - said: "The information that the Miss paid 4.7 billion VND in taxes is not Thuy Tien. However, the company always complies and completes the tax payment of the Misses and Runners-up that the company manages."
Regarding how the beauty queens and runners-up managed by this unit will pay taxes when participating in livestream sessions, Ms. Pham Kim Dung said that the beauty queens and runners-up who livestream only receive salaries and are not related to sales, so tax payments will be based on the salaries they receive.
Reporters also contacted Miss H'Hen Nie's management to ask about the celebrity's views on paying taxes. Miss H'Hen Nie's representative said: "Paying taxes is the duty of every citizen and H'Hen Nie and the management company always strictly comply with tax payment according to the regulations of state agencies. Regarding tax settlement in 2024, it is not yet time to do so."
Regarding the question of whether Miss H'Hen Nie was the one who just paid 4.7 billion VND in taxes, her representative did not give an official response.
In 2020, Miss H'Hen Nie made public her tax payments. It is estimated that the amount of tax she paid at that time was up to 2.2 billion VND.
Misses and runners-up are beauties with high titles. Therefore, they often earn income by participating in entertainment events, being brand ambassadors, acting in movies, participating in fashion shows... Recently, some beauty queens have also ventured into livestreaming to sell products and also brought in huge income.
