The lawyer said: "It is true that some brands have filed lawsuits. We have not confirmed the specific figures, and this is also an issue that is difficult to announce.
We believe that these compensation claims are based on false information, which is unfounded in court acceptance, both legally and contractually.
Previously, many companies and brands have publicly sued Kim Soo Hyun and demanded compensation for breach of contract, after the love scandal between him and the late actor Kim Sae Ron broke out, causing a stir in public opinion.
Cuckoo Holdings, a kitchen appliance manufacturing company, has filed a lawsuit to claim damages against Kim Soo Hyun and his management company Gold Medalist.
The lawsuit involves subsidiaries such as Cuckoo Electronics, Cuckoo Homesys and Malaysia-based sister company, Cuckoo International Berhad.
The complaints from Cuckoo Holdings and its affiliated companies amount to about 2.83 billion won.
