The scandal between streamer ViruSs and TikToker Ngoc kem, rapper Phao has caused a stir in recent days. ViruSs opened a livestream to confront Phao about their relationship on the evening of March 28, attracting 1.5 million viewers at the same time.
In total, more than 2 hours of livestreaming had more than 4.8 million views. Without leaving the interaction open like many KOLs, ViruSs turned on the comment limit feature, only allowing member registered users to comment or participate in discussions.
The fee for registering to be a member to comment on ViruSs livestream is 155,000 VND/month, down to 130,000 VND in the first month.
On ViruSs' community channel, 635 subscribers were recorded, estimated to have brought the channel owner about more than 80 million VND. However, this number of 635 includes pre-registered members.
In addition, viewers have continuously donated to VirsSs with virtual items such as roses, lions, porcs, TikTok Universe... with a large value of up to tens of millions of VND/ item.
Users will deposit money to convert them into coins, and use virtual coins to buy these items to donate during livestream sessions. In TikTok's price list, TikTok Universe items are priced at 44,999 coins, or nearly 18 million VND, and lions are priced at 29,999 coins, or about 12 million VND.
Talking with Lao Dong, Ms. V.A. - an expert at a company specializing in booking KOL, TikToker said that fees such as membership fees and donations of TikToker will be deducted from platform fees, money conversion fees, and "commissions" will be shared with TikTok.
"About 50% of donation income will be divided among the platform. The money from the registration of members will also be partially deducted. ViruSs' million-view livestream is capable of earning more than 100 million VND. After 3 livestreams, ViruSs can completely out of pocket about 200-300 million VND thanks to viewers donating and registering as members," the booking specialist shared.
By the evening of March 29, ViruSs livestreamed and said he would stop playing live. As for Ngoc kem, she also affirmed that she did not want the story to go too far.
