In the film "The Geography", there are many moments that make viewers tense, even have to hold their breath; the scene of Tu Dap and his teammates sawing bombs is one of them.
Under the narrow soil, Tu Dap (Quang Tuan), Luc Tac (Anh Tu Wilson) and Sau Lap (Cao Sang Le) carefully picked up a bomb. They use hand saws, each row of saws is slow and controlled, continuously watering to reduce friction, avoiding the formation of fireworks that cause explosions.
This is the way the Vietnamese army in the past still did - both manual and dangerous but a feasible method in the context of a lack of tools.
Time passed, the work was still not completed. Realizing that the option of sawing the hand was too long, Tu Dap decided to switch to a more daring method: Heating the bomb shell to expand the metal, making the team apart easier. This is a real technique, but comes with much greater risks. When the bomb shell is heated, any unexpected reaction can lead to an explosion.

The fire in the homemade pan broke out, the heat blew into the already suffocating space of the topsoil. Tu Dap, his forehead covered in sweat, unable to take his eyes off the bomb. Meanwhile, his teammates could not hide their anxiety, because everyone understood the dangers of this approach.
Luc Tac and Sau Lap were so tense that they had to ask to leave. Tu Dap is still not shy, his hands are firm, his eyes are sharp. He thought that if he could take advantage of the explosives inside to make a new bomb, it would be worth it...
When the bomb was removed, there was no cheering but only a silent ease and determination to continue the mission. That is the nature of the underground soldiers - silent, resilient, always ready for all possible situations.
The scene of Tu Dap removing bombs and making bombs attracts viewers every second. From sawing to get explosives, watering to reduce friction, to heating up bomb shells to remove the equipment,...
The character Tu Dap is inspired by the People's Armed Forces Hero To Van Duc, who is known as the "bomb-breaking machine". He is also an advisor to director Bui Thac Chuyen and the film crew of "The Geography".
By the afternoon of April 9, the revenue of the movie "The Earth" had surpassed the 90 billion VND mark and is still leading the Vietnamese box office.
