The film "Co anh, do la thanh thuong" in the political - psychological category will air at VTV1 prime time.
The film is directed by Nguyen Danh Dung, with the participation of talented actors such as Tuan Tu, Meritorious Artist Ba Anh, Meritorious Artist Thanh Quy, People's Artist Bui Bai Binh, Meritorious Artist Thanh Binh, Van Dung, Thu Quynh, Le Bong...
The film takes place in Tien Phong commune - a seemingly peaceful countryside but is silently experiencing instability: fish dying en masse, people flocking to lawsuits, land disputes, and simmering conflicts within the clan.
The central character is Huy (Tuan Tu) - a district police officer who was transferred to the locality to clarify a series of incidents related to security and order.
The deeper he investigated, the more he discovered the complicated connections behind those incidents, not simply civil conflicts but the direction and manipulation of local interest groups.
What makes things more stuffy: the leader of that interest group is Huy's brother-in-law, a successful businessman with many tricks on the outside and inside.
Tuan Tu shared that this was his first leading role in a political drama aired on VTV1, and it was also his most difficult role ever. The actress felt so pressured that she lost sleep for half a month without eating.
In the introduction, the film reveals scenes of the authorities arresting a subject selling fake cosmetics in the locality and selling dirty food of unknown origin. Controversy and problems related to the merger process are also incorporated into the plot of the film.

According to director, Meritorious Artist Nguyen Danh Dung, the film is set in the context from the beginning of the merger policy until the time of collecting votes of confidence and collecting public opinions on amending the Constitution.
"In the film, there will be hot issues that society is interested in such as: VNeID, fighting counterfeit and poor quality goods. All of these are purposeful and are built in a simple way and are close to the viewer. The film also hopes to highlight the role of the regular police force at the grassroots level in grasping the area, creating consensus and maintaining stability when the Party and State carry out major political tasks," said the director.
"There is a peaceful place in there" bears a strong momentum, vividly reflecting one of the major policies such as bringing regular police to the commune.
The film is a close-up, realistic perspective on the life and work of " down to the grassroots" soldiers, where they not only face criminals but also have to put themselves in complex village relationships, invisible pressures between reason and love.
