The producer said that the film "Quy Nhap Trang" by director Pom Nguyen and producer Nhat Trung has set many records for the Vietnamese horror film genre. On the first day of release (7.3), the film earned 1 million USD (more than 25 billion VND); by March 8, the day's revenue reached 18 billion VND.
Currently, the project has become the 5th film to join the "hundred billion club" of Vietnamese cinema in 2025 after the films: "The Four Guardians", "The billion-dollar kiss", "The Heart Light" and "House of the Ancestors".
Inspired by the horror legend of "resurbing the dead", the film tells a thrilling story taking place in a small village in the mountains of the linhins. Here, people make a living by burying people, although poor but quite stable.
One day, the lives of Quang (played by Quang Tuan) and Nhu (played by Kha Nhu) became chaotic when they discovered an ownerless coffin in their home land. The plot of the film is related to the real story of a man who hugged his wife's body and slept for nearly 2 decades in Quang Nam.
In addition to Quang Tuan and Kha Nhu, the film also brings together actors: Hoang Meo, People's Artist Thanh Nam, Van Dung, Meritorious Artist Phu Don... The producer confirmed that the film has been licensed by 23 countries and territories such as: US, Australia, Korea, New Zealand, Canada...
The film is highly appreciated in many aspects, but there is still some controversy over its acting, logistics and special effects.
