On April 19, Yen Bai province held inauguration ceremonies for the Road connecting National Highway 37, National Highway 32C with the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification.
Mr. Tran Xuan Cuong, Director of the Management Board of Investment and Construction of Traffic Works of Yen Bai province - said that the route connects National Highway 37 through Bach Lam bridge and National Highway 32C to Au Co street to reach the IC 12 intersection of Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway.
This is one of the routes connecting the central area of Yen Bai city with the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway.
The route is 4.15km long, with a roadbed width of 33m, designed according to urban road standards with 4 lanes, a fixed median strip, fully meeting the requirements of technology, aesthetics and traffic safety. The total investment cost of the project is 412 billion VND.
The project of the road connecting National Highway 37, National Highway 32C with Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway was approved for implementation in 4 years, from 2020 - 2024.
Of which, the route started construction in July 2021 and was completed in March 2024. The technical infrastructure part started in October 2024 and was completed in December 2024.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan - Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee affirmed that the road connecting National Highway 37, National Highway 32C with the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway, when completed and put into operation, is not only about expanding geographical space, but more importantly, it is about opening up development space, connecting beliefs and expectations.
With this strategic "push", Yen Bai is affirming its position, creating a solid momentum to strongly rise, actively contributing to the common development of the Northwest region and the whole country, ready to enter a new era of development - the era of connection and prosperity.
