Recently, Spotify - the world's largest music streaming platform announced that the song "APT." by Rose (Blackpink) and Bruno Mars debuted at number 3 on Spotify's global daily chart, with 6,859,271 streams.
This achievement helped Rose set the record for the biggest debut by a female Kpop solo artist on Spotify globally, surpassing Lisa's "New Woman" (6 million streams).
For both male and female K-pop solo artists, Rose's "APT." ranks 3rd in history, behind only Jungkook's "Seven" (15.99 million streams) and Jimin's "Who" (7.9 million streams).
Additionally, “APT.” debuted at No. 11 on the U.S. Spotify chart with 1,178,728 streams. Rose surpassed Blackpink (“Ice Cream,” featuring Selena Gomez) to become the biggest female K-pop artist to debut on U.S. Spotify.
This is also the biggest debut achievement of a Kpop artist this year, surpassing Jimin's "Who" (964 thousand streams).
Notably, Rose is the only female Kpop solo artist in history to have a song reach over 1 million streams on the first day on Spotify US. Previously, only 2 male Kpop solo artists have done this: Jungkook and Suga of BTS.
Not only Rose, "APT." is also Bruno Mars's song with the "biggest" debut on the global Spotify chart.
On US iTunes, “APT.” debuted at No. 8 on its first day, surpassing Jennie’s “Mantra” (No. 27), becoming the highest-charting debut by a female K-pop solo artist on US iTunes in 2024.
Rose is also the first Asian female artist in history to debut directly into the Top 10 of this chart.
“APT.” is still at Top 1 iTunes globally for 2 consecutive days and occupies Top 1 iTunes in 55 regions around the world.
In Korea, as of 12:00 on October 20, “APT.” achieved a “Real Time All-Kill” for 22 hours. The song topped the real-time charts of the top 4 music platforms in Korea: Melon, Bugs, Genie, and Flo.
Additionally, "APT." reached No. 1 with 2,690,765 streams on YouTube Music Korea's daily chart - currently the most used music streaming platform by Koreans every month, surpassing Melon.
