Recently, Song Hye Kyo posted on her personal page a black and white photo with the caption: "Slowly and Intensely - the last working trip". In the photo, Song Hye Kyo holds 4 torn film scripts in her hand, marking the end of a long journey that the actress is attached to the project.
Although not explaining further, the audience understands that this is Song Hye Kyo's farewell on the last filming day of the movie "Slowly and Intensely" (or "Show Business").
This is a large project of the Netflix platform, which is said to have a production budget of more than 75.3 billion won (about 57 million USD). The filming process for the 22-episode work began in January 2025, and took a whole year to complete.
The cast gathers many famous names such as Song Hye Kyo, Gong Yoo, Kim Seol Hyun, Cha Seung Won, Honey Lee...

The film is set in the Korean entertainment industry in the period 1960-1980, depicting the journey of maturity and conflicts of characters who have tried their best to pursue success, in an era where barbarity and violence coexist.
True to the title "Slow and Fierce", the stories of the characters promise to be deeply, heavily and persistently portrayed.
In it, Song Hye Kyo plays Min Ja, a resilient woman who has gone through a difficult childhood. Seeking opportunities in the Korean music industry, she accepts risks and takes a bold leap forward to pursue her dream.
In particular, this is also the work marking the 3rd collaboration between Song Hye Kyo and screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung, after "The World They Live in" (2008) and "That Winter Wind" (2013).
This film is also Song Hye Kyo's first project after the hit movie "The Glory" released in 2022, so the pressure on the beauty born in 1981 is not small.
Regarding the reason for participating in "Slowly and intensely", Song Hye Kyo once shared: "I am curious about the life and emotions of characters in an era that I have never experienced. I am attracted to this role because this is a character I have never tried.
Above all, the script by screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung touched my heart, and I am very happy to collaborate with director Lee Yoon Jung - whom I have always wanted to work with. Not to mention the presence of many other talented actors”.
At the age of over 40, the actress admits that acting is becoming more and more difficult. Although she has 28 years of experience, the deeper she goes, the more subtle details she needs to touch are discovered and the sense of responsibility is also increasing. However, Song Hye Kyo expressed her desire to try her hand at new acting challenges.
