On January 13, Korean media reported that the new drama “Slowly and Intensely” officially began filming on January 12.
“Slowly and Intensely” is a project by famous screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung, who wrote for famous films such as “That Winter, the Wind Blows”, “It's Okay That's Love”, “Dear My Friends”, “Our Blues”...
Set in the 1960s and 1970s, “Slowly and Intensely” portrays the real-life landscape of the broadcasting industry, delving into the lives of the stars on stage and the people behind the scenes who made those stars.
Notably, this is the third project Song Hye Kyo has collaborated with screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung. She has played the lead role in two of the female screenwriter's films - "The World They Live In" (2008) and "That Winter, the Wind Blows" (2013).
Previously, on January 12, Song Hye Kyo surprised everyone when she appeared on musician Jung Jae Hyung's YouTube talk show with a pixie cut. She revealed that she cut her hair short to prepare for a film project with screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung.
The actress has had short hair in several films such as “The World They Live In” and “Encounter”, but this is the shortest time she has had hair.
Many viewers commented that Song Hye Kyo's new hairstyle resembles a tomboy style, more individual than her appearance in the movie "Encounter".
Meanwhile, male lead Gong Yoo will reunite with director Lee Yoon Jung - who took on the role of directing "Slowly and Intensely". This is their second collaboration since the 2007 MBC drama "Coffee Prince".
“Slowly and Intensely” is expected to complete filming in the first half of this year and is in talks to release on Netflix as a 22-episode series.
