On July 31, the producer of the drama My Youth released images from the first script reading, starring Song Joong Ki, Chun Woo Hee, Lee Joo Myung, Seo Ji Hoon, Jin Kyung, Jo Han Chul, Yoon Byung Hee and Lee Bong Ryun.
Director Lee Sang Yeop and screenwriter Park Si Hyun were also present.
My Youth is a romantic drama about Sun Woo Hae - who started a normal life later than most people, and Sung Je Yeon - who had to break the peace of his first love to achieve success for himself.
Sun Woo Hae, played by Song Joong Ki, is a former child star who has passed his peak and is working as a flower seller. After a short period of fame, he spent his entire twenties just making a living, building a solid life on the foundation of old wounds.
His peaceful life was disrupted when he encountered incidents from Sung Je Yeon's first love.
Sung Je Yeon, played by Chun Woo Hee, is a bold manager and Sun Woo Hae's first love. She lives a normal life, but unexpectedly faces emotions that she has long forgotten because of Sun Woo Hae.

My Youth is scheduled to premiere on September 5 on JTBC, following Lee Sung Kyung and Lee Dong Wooks The Nice guy.
Notably, My Youth will be the first TV project that Song Joong Ki will star in in 3 years, since the movie The Youngest Son of a Talented Family in 2022.
In the past 3 years, Song Joong Ki has only accepted guest roles, appearing especially in the TV series Queen of Tears, the rest of the time, he focused on cinema.
Song Joong Ki starred in three films Hopeless, My Name Is Loh Kiwan and Bogota: City of the Lost.
