According to Lao Dong, the Kenyan women's volleyball team and the Spanish women's volleyball team worked with the Vietnam Volleyball Federation to conduct training in our country in August.
Training program of the above two teams to prepare for the 2025 World Volleyball Championship in Thailand. The Vietnam Volleyball Federation confirmed that the two teams are expected to be present at the same time in Vietnam.
We will consider a suitable location for each team to train according to exchanges between the parties, said Mr. Le Tri Truong, General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation.
The 2025 World Volleyball Championship will be played from August 22 to September 7. Therefore, the time for the Kenyan and Spanish teams to visit Vietnam is expected to be in the second week of August.
The Vietnam Volleyball Federation and the coaching staff of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team will develop a practice plan with the opponents. We are expected to play 1 match with Kenya and 3 matches with Spain. The matches took place at Dong Anh Stadium (Hanoi).
However, depending on the actual situation during the training period of the teams, the practice plan will be implemented. Dong Anh Stadium (Hanoi) is the venue for the AVC Nations Cup 2025.
The Vietnam women's volleyball team was drawn into Group G of the 2025 World Volleyball Championship with Poland, Germany and Kenya. For the first time, Vietnamese volleyball has a national team that has officially qualified for the World Championship.
Currently, the Kenyan team is ranked 22nd in the world while the Spanish team is ranked 33rd. The Vietnam women's volleyball team is currently ranked 27th.
