On the afternoon of October 15, the seminar "H historical films and organizing great national holidays" was held at the hall of the University of Natural Sciences.
Attending the seminar were Dr. Doan Van Bau - Director of the Department of Political Theory, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Major Pham Hoai Thuong, Colonel Kieu Thanh Thuy - Deputy Director of the People's Army Cinema and actors Steven Nguyen and Le Hoang Long in the film "Red Rain".
In addition to sharing sincerely about the filmmaking process, the two young actors also brought an interesting surprise when they sang a duet of the song "Con gi dep hon" - the song that became a deep impression after the success of "Mua mua do". The performance received enthusiastic cheers, making the whole hall feel proud and moved.
Sharing at the seminar, Steven Nguyen said that if he could choose three words to talk about the film, he would choose: "Independence - freedom - Happiness". The actor revealed that he was initially quite surprised and a bit disappointed when he took on the role of a soldier on the "other side of the front line", because he had always wanted to transform into a just hero. However, the process of reading scripts, studying documents, especially conversations with veterans helped him understand more deeply about the fate and psychology of the characters, thereby portraying a conflictive but realistic Quang.

Students attending the program also asked many interesting questions for the two actors. When asked about the confrontation scenes in the film, Steven Nguyen revealed that many details in the fight scene between the characters Quang and Cuong were shortened to keep the authenticity of the war. He jokingly said: "If I could come back, I would like to give a few more shots. But doing so must make a superman film!. Immediately after that, Le Hoang Long humorously replied: " Sen meet Quang and it will be a minute," making the audience laugh. Steven quickly replied: "I don't know if Steven will meet Long", making the atmosphere even more exciting.
When asked about the most haunting character/detail in the film, Steven Nguyen shared that it was the scene where the character Hai sacrificed. Despite being tortured, shot, slashed and burned, Hai still steadfastly defended his ideals until his last breath. For him, this is not just a scene, but also a symbol of the indomitable spirit, for those who have fallen for the Fatherland.
The seminar ended in a long applause, leaving in the hearts of students many emotions about history, cinema and patriotism conveyed through "Red Rain" - a film imbued with human values and national pride.
