Among the young cast participating in the film project "Red Rain", Tran Gia Huy attracted attention when playing the role of Tan - the youngest soldier of Squadron 1.
This character appears as the last piece of the squad, carrying the image of a young, naive, and Voluble guy.
The actor shared that the most unforgettable memory in his cinetour journey was the first time the audience recognized and called the right name of the character he played.

Gia Huy's path to "Red Rain" is quite special. In the first audition round, he tried his hand at the role of Sen and did not hesitate to bite his hand, acting in a snake- feeding scene to prove his ability to play the role.
After the casting round (a taste of the role) for voice and appearance, he was finally given the role of Tan, and the role of Sen was given to actor Le Hoang Long. Gia Huy said he was not sad because he saw the director's choice.
The scene that the actor remembers most is the scene where Tan ate solid solids while alive because he was so hungry due to cluster bombs and bullets, unable to provide food inside the ancient citadel.
To recreate his harshness, he was forced to hold a real snake and bite it directly. Although the animal was tied to its mouth to reduce the danger, fear still existed.
Gia Huy admitted that he was very afraid of reptiles, but when he took on the role, he tried to overcome his fear. He told himself that only when he dared to face it could he portray the character's true panic and desire to survive. However, because the film was labeled T13, this scene was edited with less detail when shown on screen.
In addition to the psychological challenge, the filming process also caused Gia Huy to change his appearance significantly when he lost from 66 kg to 54 kg, his skin was so sunburned that his parents did not recognize it.
In the film, the character Tan is also often teased by his teammates as being "slight" when he is named Tan but only weighs 40kg.
Interestingly, before his artistic career, Tran Gia Huy was a professional soccer player, having won the national men's doubles championship in 2022. He studied Television actors at Hanoi University of Theatre and Cinema.
Before Red Rain, Gia Huy participated in the TV series No Time as a young soldier and took on the role of Lieutenant of Nam Nam in the prime-time film There is a peaceful place.
