William Chan debuted as a singer in 2003, after winning the Chinese World Music Talent Award of TVB (Hong Kong, China).
In 2006, he joined the young band Sun Boy'z. Only later, when separating to operate separately, did William Chan venture into the field of modeling and acting.
For more than two decades, he has maintained his role as an actor, singer and model. However, although his music career is still developing, owning many albums and a large fan base, William Chan has not re-organized his personal concert for 10 years.
In a recent livestream, William Chan shared about performing at the Mango Super Music Festival in Shanghai on May 2, and considered this as a "test of his own feelings".
Because in recent years he has focused on acting, he frankly said that it is necessary to go through the live stage to find and verify the performance status. Therefore, he has specially adapted a song into a rock version, hoping to discover the new stage attraction at the festival.
He also revealed that this could be his "last short-term music festival," showing a cautious consideration for organizing a large-scale personal concert.
William Chan shared: "If I'm not ready, I shouldn't stand on stage, because I have very high demands on myself.

This caution stems from the fact that he pays close attention to the feelings of fans. In an interview in February, William Chan mentioned seeing fans having to queue for many days to participate in music festivals, tired to the point of "being unable to stand", making him extremely heartbroken.
From then on, he began to seriously consider the possibility of organizing a private concert to bring a better experience to fans. He admitted that, because he had been away from the stage center for quite a long time, there were times of lack of confidence, but it was the times he tried his hand through festival stages that helped him gradually regain his determination, aiming for the goal of organizing a concert.
In fact, William Chan's most recent solo tour was 10 years ago. After that, the "second tour" plan could not be implemented for many reasons. Even though fans asked every year, he still could not overcome his own strict standards.
This persistence of "not ready, don't go on stage" creates a contrast with his continuous productive activities in the film industry in recent years.
In music, his singing and dancing ability has never been underestimated in terms of expertise; the support at Tiet Chi Khiem's concert also showed Tran Vy Dinh's solid performance foundation, and some even regretfully called him a "singer whose performance was slowed down".
According to Chinese media, Edison Chen's steps show measurement and sobriety. In an entertainment industry that favors speed and coverage, such strictness with stage quality becomes even rarer.
