Prime Minister approves personnel for Hai Phong City

    The Prime Minister approved Mr. Do Thanh Trung to hold the position of Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee and 6 Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee.

    On April 23, 2026, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung signed decisions approving the results of the election of the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term.

    In Decision No. 719/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister approved the election results for the position of Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee for the term 2026-2031 for Mr. Do Thanh Trung - Deputy Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.

    Previously, on April 20, 2026, at the first session of the 17th Hai Phong City People's Council, term 2026-2031, Mr. Do Thanh Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee with 100% of votes in favor.

    Mr. Do Thanh Trung was born in 1976, native of Binh Dinh province (now Gia Lai province). He used to hold the positions of: Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment; Deputy Minister of Finance; Deputy Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.

    At the same time, in Decision No. 718/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister approved the results of the election of the position of Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee for the term 2026-2031 for:

    1. Mr. Le Anh Quan - Member of the Standing Committee of Hai Phong City Party Committee for the term 2025-2030, Standing Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee for the term 2021-2026.

    2. Mr. Vu Tien Phung - Member of the Standing Committee of Hai Phong City Party Committee for the term 2025-2030, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee for the term 2021-2026.

    3. Mr. Le Trung Kien - Member of the Standing Committee of Hai Phong City Party Committee for the term 2025-2030, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee for the term 2021-2026.

    4. Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of Hai Phong City Party Committee for the term 2025-2030, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee for the term 2021-2026.

    5. Mr. Tran Van Quan - Member of the Executive Committee of Hai Phong City Party Committee for the term 2025-2030, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee for the term 2021-2026.

    6. Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong - Member of the Executive Committee of Hai Phong City Party Committee for the term 2025-2030, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee for the term 2021-2026.
