On April 23, Thu Duc City officially announced a plan to mobilize children to class and enroll in the first grades of the 2025-2026 school year.
Accordingly, this school year, 3 secondary schools including Tran Quoc Toan 1, Hoa Lu, Binh Tho will conduct admission using the method of considering documents combined with taking a competency assessment survey test.
The survey for the 3 schools will be conducted on the same day, with the same survey organized by the Department of Education and Training.
Admission quotas for each school are as follows: Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School - admits 9 grades 6 with 315 students (of which at least 4 are integrated English classes).
Hoa Lu Secondary School enrolls 7 grades 6 with 245 students (of which at least 2 are integrated English classes).
Binh Tho Secondary School enrolls 8 grades 6 with 280 students (of which at least 3 are integrated English classes).
Parents will register online to take the survey from 8:00 a.m. on May 12 to 5:00 p.m. on May 14, 2025. Submit documents from May 15 to 5:00 p.m. on May 17, 2025.
The survey exam is scheduled to be held on May 24. Results expected to be announced on May 30, 2025
The time to register for review (if any) is expected from May 31 to June 1, 2025. The review results (if any) are expected to be announced on June 5, 2025.
Note, students are only allowed to register for the survey at one school, the survey results of the registered school are not taken for admission to the remaining two schools.
If they are not admitted to the school that registered for the survey, students will still be arranged to study grade 6 at the junior high school according to the regulations of the first-level admission plan.
In the 2024 - 2025 school year, in addition to the 3 high schools mentioned above, there are 3 other schools, Nguyen Huu Tho Secondary School (District 7), Nguyen An Khuong Secondary School (Hoc Mon District) and Tran Dai Nghia Secondary - High School (District 1) enrolling in grade 6 for the survey exam.
